International Christmas Schedule.

December 20th, 2010

Goods collected Friday the 17th of Decemebr in most instances will be delivered before Christmas. After this date it is impossible
for us to say this will be the case. It is imperative that a mobile phone contact number should be provided with each delivery. Any
failed deliveries due to closures etc, may delay ultimate delivery and incur additional charges. Please help us to help you.
Obtaining International Information during the Christmas break is extremely difficult so it is imperative that EVERY DELIVERY CARRIES
FULL DELIVERY/CONTACT INFORMATION. Thank You.

APC SNOW BULLETIN.

December 20th, 2010

Worsening conditions.snow in Dales.APC delivers record numbers of parcels despite the Arctic conditionsAPC Overnight is working around the clock to ensure that parcels have the best possible chance of being delivered in time for Christmas. During November, APC successfully delivered more parcels than ever on time even with snow and ice affecting UK roads. The recent snowfalls have caused further challenges, but APC has implemented additional resources at its National Sortation Hub in Wolverhampton and at its dedicated Scottish Sortation Hub in Bellshill. The network’s local depots throughout the UK have also called in additional assistance.

Customers are flooding the network with emails thanking APC for getting their parcels delivered and have made appreciative comments about how hard the depots and their drivers are working to overcome the snow and ice.

Even with the bad weather, the worst affected depots are only running two to three days behind, with staff working around the clock and seven days a week attempting to clear the back log prior to Christmas.

Whilst APC will endeavour to ensure customers receive their parcels, the latest weather forecast will certainly impact on deliveries prior to Christmas Day and create significant delays.

“This is our busiest period of the year and we are processing and delivering significantly higher volumes of parcels than any previous year despite the unprecedented snowfall and icy road conditions we are experiencing in the UK. Our National Hub Team has been strengthened with an additional 200 people and our local depot partners are employing extra staff to ensure that parcels are delivered. It is unfortunate that the whole of the British Isles is enduring the coldest winter in 31 years and it is affecting all kinds of businesses. One thing is certain, APC Overnight and its 125 plus depot network is in a better position than any other parcel courier to provide exceptional service to its customers under very challenging conditions,” said APC’s Managing Director, Ivor Skinner.
