APC Overnight National Photography Competition
Andrew Cogan of Haltwhistle, Northumberland, was a surprise winner in a hotly contested national photography competition sponsored by the UK’s largest parcel network, APC Overnight. The competition centred on local themes picturing the best of Britain for a 2009 Calendar. Andrew’s photograph of St. Mary’s Lighthouse north of Whitley Bay features as the August 2009 calendar page. The calendar is being sent free to companies around the country via the APC Overnight parcel network. The competition was open to APC Overnight’s own staff and depots as well as their customers working for thousands of companies around the UK, whether or not they were professional photographers or keen amateurs. The winners each receive a framed copy of their winning photograph, copies of calendars to give to family and friends, as well as a celebratory bottle of champagne. “We were delighted with the response to our first national photography competition. Judging the competition was not an easy task as the standard of entries was outstanding. Andre Cogan thoroughly deserves this accolade and we are pleased that his work features in the calendar,” said Jon Barber, Marketing Director, APC Overnight. |
